Back to Alvin Farmhouse

View of the barn from the back porch of the "Pink House." The barn is 36' x 42' and has 3 or 4 horse stalls, depending on how it's configured. It also has a feed room with concrete floor, a tool area with concrete floor and a large hay storage bay with a wooden floor. One of the horse stalls has a 'back door' that opens to a large, shady Pecan grove.

The feed area. There is lots of storage in the built in cabinets.

A view of the barn aisle. All the interior stall components are from JW Hall.

The hay storage room is approx 12'x22' and can hold up to 250 bales of hay if stacked properly. The front wall is made from tongue and groove boards dropped into U-channel so the entire front can be removed to make it easier to load hay. There are open entrances for ease of rotating hay usage.

Another view of the barn aisle. You can see one end of the run-in shed in this view. The run-in shed is 12x36 and is divided into three 12x12 areas so that one alpha horse can't hog the entire thing!
